Symptoms of a Stroke
If you thought strokes were exclusive to senior citizens, think again! In fact, 10 percent of strokes occur in people under the age of 45.
In some cases, issues such as hypertension or diabetes are linked to strokes in younger victims. Other times, particularly when a stroke affects a child, it can be caused by inherited conditions.
While you can lower your risk of stroke by living a healthy lifestyle, it's always a good idea to know the early signs of a stroke. The American Heart Association suggests remembering FAST as a way to identify symptoms so that you can get help quickly.
