Summer Eating Doesn't Have to End

Fruits and Veggies

You don’t have to give up healthy summer habits just because pumpkin spice is in the air. Check out these healthy activities that you can continue year-round.

  • Eating fresh fruits and veggies. Yes, melon and berries are great treats. But so is fall produce such as apples, root vegetables, pears and cauliflower. Sweet potatoes, anyone?

  • Enjoying the outdoors. Some say fall weather is actually nicer than summer – cool autumn afternoons make a brisk walk an enjoyable, but not sweaty, activity.

  • Grill out. Don’t pack your grill away quite yet! Keep cooking chicken, fish and veggies on the grill through the fall. You could even experiment using your broiler for a similar flavor in the dead of winter.

  • Stay hydrated. It’s easier to remember to drink water during the hot summer months, but try to keep your water intake high moving into fall as well.
