Staying Healthy at the Fair
Don't let a trip to the fair turn into an excuse for overindulging!
We know, the county fair has some pretty tasty treats. They also tend to be high in calories and terrible for your heart! There are some healthier options, though -- if you know to look for them.
For snacks, aim for choices such as peanuts or a pickle-on-a-stick.
Main meals might include a grilled chicken breast or kebob. On the side, grab some corn-on-the-cob or fresh fruit.
Dessert options could be a frozen, chocolate-covered banana or frozen yogurt.
And while water is probably the healthiest fair drink you can choose, a fresh-squeezed lemonade can be a nice indulgence as well!
