It’s ok to be overwhelmed. There’s no question it’s a challenging time for everyone. Here are some helpful tips to take care of yourself and your family:

What you can do for YOU:

  • take breaks from all the news stories
  • eat healthy, well-balanced meals
  • exercise regularly
  • get plenty of sleep
  • try to still do some activities you enjoy
  • talk with people you trust about your concerns

What you can do for YOUR KIDS:

  • take time to talk with your child about COVID-19
  • share with them how you deal with stress so they can learn how to cope from you
  • limit your family’s exposure to news coverage of the event, including social media
  • create a schedule for learning, relaxing and fun activities
