Clean Regularly Used Surfaces

germy cell phone

Did you sanitize the bottle of disinfectant but miss a major germ carrier? If you haven’t cleaned your cell phone during the Covid-19 crisis, you’re likely carrying a petri dish of germs in your pocket.

Even in the best of times, phones carry a lot of bacteria. Now with Covid-19 transmitting through hard surfaces, it’s more important than ever to clean your phone.

Unplug and turn off any device before you clean it. Use a disinfecting wipe or 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe to clean surfaces, taking care not to get moisture in any of the phone’s openings. Use a lint-free, soft microfiber cloth to finish cleaning.

What you don’t want to do is spray Lysol or other cleaning products directly on your phone. That, along with compressed air, could scratch the phone or damage the exterior coating and prevent some features from working.
