The 20th annual Puttin’ on the Glitz fashion show was a sell-out once again this year. More than 500 supporters attended this year’s event on November 10 at Giovanni’s, raising nearly $50,000. Proceeds of the event benefit SwedishAmerican’s oncology patients and will directly go towards patient and family support services and resources.  

SwedishAmerican Medical Center/Belvidere Administrator Dawna Menke Receives Outstanding Philanthropist Award

SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health is pleased to announce Dawna Menke, administrator at SwedishAmerican Medical Center/Belvidere, was recently awarded with the Outstanding Philanthropist Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Rockford Chapter during its luncheon on November 15. The award honored one individual or family for contributions to one or more organizations in Northern Illinois. The individual must also have a proven record of demonstrating outstanding civic and charitable responsibility.

New Bell School Road Clinic Approved for SwedishAmerican by State Regulators

SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center to Host FREE Support Group for Young Women

The SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center is now hosting a FREE support group specifically geared towards young women with cancer who receive care at SwedishAmerican. Women in their 20s, 30s and early 40s who are attempting to balance work, life with children and relationships with friends and family are encouraged to attend.

The support group will take place on Tuesday evenings in November, starting November 7, from 5:30 – 6:30 PM at Katy’s Place located inside the Regional Cancer Center, 3535 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.
