PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
The ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at SwedishAmerican, a Division of UW Health, builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program in Specialty Pharmacy
The PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy residency program at SwedishAmerican’s URAC accredited Specialty Pharmacy builds upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications.
PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency
The PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program at SwedishAmerican, a Division of UW Health, allows the resident to experience a wide range of clinical areas tailored to the resident’s interests in emergency medicine. SwedishAmerican is a level II trauma center with a 34-bed Emergency Department with greater than 80,000 patient visits annually.
PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency
The PGY2 Critical Care pharmacy residency program at SwedishAmerican, a Division of UW Health, allows the resident to gain clinical skills by being a part of a multidisciplinary team in a wide range of clinical areas tailored to the resident’s interests in critical care. SwedishAmerican has a 30-bed mixed Critical Care Unit that manages medical, surgical, and neurological patients.
All interested candidates must participate in the ASHP Resident Matching program and apply in PHORCAS.
