Aromatherapy for Cancer Patients

Aromatherapy for Cancer Patients

June 3, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Katy's Place is celebrating Cancer Survivor Week, June 3 - 7.  Our celebration theme will be "Using our Five Senses to Help us Heal."  Special events will be scheduled each day!

Join us on Monday to learn how our 'sense of smell' -- the use of Aromatherapy (essential oils from plants) can help improve quality of life, and reduce stress, anxiety, pain, nausea, and vomiting caused by cancer and its treatment.  Presented by Laurie Bigelow and Metta Sacdyphoud, certified aromatherapy practitioners. First floor Café.

Visit our information booth to learn about our new cancer program: "More Than Skin Deep: How Cancer Affects the Mind, Body & Spirit," and stop by the American Cancer Society information table. First floor lobby.

Other activities include: Spin to win for special giveaways; Register for a free gift basket; Take a survivor/supporter selfie in our photo booth; Pick a forever flower and write a special message to someone; and write a message of hope to place in our indoor butterfly garden.
