UW Health

SwedishAmerican is a division of UW Health, an organization with a common mission, vision, values and culture. Every day, dozens of specialists from UW Health are right here in Rockford. These leading physicians help patients with cancer and heart disease. They perform complex robotic surgeries and help children beat the odds. These amazing specialists work alongside the region's most preferred doctors here at Swedes. Together, they're a remarkable team.

Because branding takes time, the transition won’t happen all at once. The transition will happen over a period. You will first start to see the brand change on our employees’ ID badges and lab coats, on our website, advertising and on our building signage. Our colors and logo will change to reflect UW Health’s existing brand, look and feel.

No. Patients will continue to be seen at their existing clinics and by their existing providers. There will be no staff changes.

No. Patients will not see any changes in their insurance and billing.

You will continue to receive the same great care you have always expected from SwedishAmerican. Over time, you may notice changes to make your care even better, like enhanced medical technology, medical research and access to specialty care. These branding changes reflect our commitment to continuously enhance patient care in the northern Illinois region. It provides significant new investment in this community and respects the strong history and tradition of SwedishAmerican.
