SwedishAmerican’s Website Earns Platinum Award

SwedishAmerican is pleased to announce its redesigned website recently received a Platinum AVA Digital Award for creativity in web design. The hospital’s web design partner, Rockford-based Trekk, was the creative and technical group behind the redesign and helped launch the new site. This is Trekk’s second AVA Digital Award, but its first platinum.

SwedishAmerican’s new site was created to put the most important person first: its patients. While visiting the site, which is responsive for use on multiple devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers, users can find its most popular features front and center - find-a-provider and the location search tool. In addition, users have access to a content library featuring health blogs, an events calendar, job opportunities, bill pay and more. Lastly, the site highlights SwedishAmerican’s social media channels which are filled with stories that educate, inspire and entertain.

“We knew it was time to upgrade our site and knew we needed to make a website that would truly put our patients first,” said SwedishAmerican Director of Corporate Communications & Strategic Marketing Brian Reck. “Our new site is, most importantly, easy to use and maneuver but it’s fun, fresh and modern and allows us to connect with our patients and families who are on the go.”

The AVA Digital Awards honor excellence in digital creatively, branding and strategy. Each year, the competition receives thousands of entries globally. The judges, representatives of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, consider works ranging from digital engagement campaigns, to website development, mobile marketing and more.

“SwedishAmerican is truly forward-thinking when it comes to its digital communications,” said Trekk CEO Laura Bennett. “We enjoyed working with their marketing team to help them create a functional and fun website for its patients and the community.”
