SwedishAmerican’s Cruise Fundraiser Raises More Than $181,000 for Holistic Health Services

The 22nd annual SwedishAmerican Cruise fundraiser was a sell-out once again this year. More than 500 supporters attended this year’s gala on March 5 at Giovanni’s, raising more than $181,000.

The event offered a unique evening of attractions, entertainment and sampling of foods from various “ports-of-call,” including Italy, Greece and Spain. Attendees were able to bid on a wide array of silent auction items and participate in a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds from the event benefit holistic health services at SwedishAmerican, from therapeutic massage to aromatherapy, music therapy, yoga, the Caring Canines therapy dog program, expressive arts therapy and more. SwedishAmerican is the only health system in the region to offer holistic services to its patients.

"We are very thankful for the support of our community and are pleased to be raising funds for our holistic health services,” says SwedishAmerican Foundation Director Laura Wilkinson. “Holistic health recognizes the connection between the mind, body and spirit and we’re glad we can continue to enhance our patients’ journey to wellness.”
