SWEDISHAMERICAN WELCOMES NEW APRN KATHRYN SPINKER TO CREEKSIDE MEDICAL CENTER

ROCKFORD, Illinois – SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome new advanced practice registered nurse Kathryn Spinker to Creekside Medical Center (3505 N. Bell School Road, Rockford).

A board-certified family nurse practitioner, Kathryn received her degrees from University of Missouri-Columbia and OSF Saint Anthony College of Nursing. She completed her residency at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Rockford. Her special medical interests include back pain, cardiac health, chronic disease management, fitness and exercise, gastrointestinal disorders, health and wellness, mental health and psychological care, nutrition, patient education, preventative medicine, women’s health and vaccination guidelines and promotion.

A native of Rockford, Kathryn is a member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing – Phi Omicron Chapter, and the Emergency Nurses Association.

“I strive to always provide an engaging, authentic presence for my patients, encouraging the vital self-actualization which is needed to attain their health-goals,” Kathryn said. “The philosophy of human caring is a mutually beneficial practice for both the patient and their health care team, promoting trust with the inevitable result of self-healing.”
