ROCKFORD, Illinois – SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome new provider Dr. Alaeddin Maeza to the Regional Cancer Center (3535 N. Bell School Road, Rockford).

A native of Tripoli, Dr. Maeza is board eligible in hematology and oncology with a degree from Wayne State University. Dr. Maeza’s special medical interests include disease prevention, medical genetics, pain management, patient education, preventative medicine, clinical research and basic science.

I have always wanted to work in this noble profession to address human health problems with utmost gravity,” Dr. Maeza said. “It is a privilege and an honor to be let into someone’s life story as a caring doctor. I emphasize basic science and translational research as a platform for the cutting edge practice of oncology. I strive to deliver excellent care and treatment in a warm and compassionate way while preserving quality of life through non-invasive treatments.”
