SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome APRN Carrie Hauck to the Heart Institute.

Carrie received her medical degree at Walden University, is certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Originally from McHenry, Carrie has special medical interests in Cardiac Health, Chronic Disease Management, Disease Prevention, Fitness and Exercise, Health and Wellness, Preventive Medicine and Women’s Health.

“I have wanted to be a nurse ever since I can remember,” Carrie said. “Even in kindergarten, I had books at home about becoming a nurse. I have worked in cardiology my entire nursing career and am very excited to have taken my next step as a nurse practitioner.

“My philosophy of care includes making the patient and family involved in health care decisions by providing education and being sure everyone understands. I have a very patient-focused philosophy and strive to give the most compassionate care to all my patients.”
