SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center to Host Look Good Feel Better Program

The SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center is excited to announce it is offering a Look Good Feel Better program to its current cancer patients. The program is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques with cancer to help them manage their appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. The program includes lessons on skin and nail care, cosmetics, wigs and turbans, accessories and styling.

Thousands of volunteer beauty professionals support Look Good Feel Better. All are trained and certified by Look Good Feel Better Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Professional Beauty Association. The Look Good Feel Better program is open to all women with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or other forms of treatment.

“SwedishAmerican is extremely excited to help women with cancer and host the Look Good Feel Better program,” says SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center Director Diane Scoville. “This program is a great opportunity to help women with cancer to find some normalcy in their life, getting back to doing their hair, doing their nails and other things that help make them look good and feel better.”

Sessions will be held at the Regional Cancer Center, 3535 N. Bell School Road, Rockford from 1 – 3 PM on the following dates:

•Wednesday, May 17
