SwedishAmerican Mended Hearts of Rock River Valley will continue to offer a FREE support group every 3rd Monday of the month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in SwedishAmerican Conference Rooms 5 & 6 (enter through the Heart Hospital).

•July 17 – Finding Your Inner Power; presented by Tanya Eikstadt, M.S. Ed., ATC, ACSM-CEP,EIM

•August 21 – How to Combat Stress; presented by Jody Perrecone, CHIP Corporate Client Manager

•September 18 – Open Heart Surgery Q&A; presented by John Russell, Nurse Practitioner, Cardiovascular Surgery

•October 16 – Heart Medications and More; presented by Tom Carey, Pharm D

•November 20 – Guided Imagery to Promote Relaxation and Healing; presented by Jane Greenlee, RN, BHA, HN-BC

Mended Hearts is a nationally connected, locally affiliated group of former surgical heart patients devoted to meet with patients before surgery to answer questions and alleviate fears during hospitalization. The members offer encouragement in the early days of recover; after surgery; and help with the life adjustments that face all surgical heart patients.
