SwedishAmerican Medical Center Belvidere Celebrates Eight Years of Quality Care

SwedishAmerican Medical Center/Belvidere (SAMC/B) is proud to celebrate eight years of service to the Belvidere community. Since the facility opened in 2009, it has provided emergency care to more than 121,000 people, and more than 230,000 outpatient appointments.

The medical center’s services continue to grow with the community, and include 24-hour emergency care, digital mammography and X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, lung cancer screening center, physical therapy, sleep lab, coumadin clinic, echo, pulmonary function testing, infusion services, outpatient lab, inpatient services and surgery, and massage therapy, all provided by a Top 100 healthcare system. Additionally, the Specialty Clinic at the facility provides access to specialists, such as pulmonology and orthopedics, and provides convenient access to specialists from UW Health in the area of liver transplant and bariatric surgery.

SAMC/B’s staff also is highly active within the community. Since the facility opened, SAMC/B continuously provides direct monetary support, and sponsorships to community organizations and events such as the Boone County United Way, Heritage Days, Hometown Christmas, Boone County Fair and more.
