SwedishAmerican Foundation to Hold Annual Fundraising Gala on March 4
Dubbed by many as “the most fun fundraiser in Rockford,” Cruise, the SwedishAmerican Foundation’s annual fundraising gala, is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at Giovanni’s, 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.
Celebrating its 23rd year, the event offers a unique evening of attractions, entertainment and sampling foods from various “ports-of-call,” including Cuba, the Mexican Riviera, and New Orleans. There will be a raffle and guests will dance to music provided by Sound Productions (DJ).
Bidding on silent auction items is easy and benefits a great cause. Beginning February 17, anyone can visit www.galabid.com/Cruise2017 to create an account and begin bidding on a wide array of silent auction items. The silent auction will end during Cruise at 9 PM on Saturday, March 4. Winners need not be present to win.
All proceeds from the event will benefit holistic health services at SwedishAmerican, from therapeutic massage to aromatherapy, music therapy, yoga, the Caring Canines therapy dog program, expressive arts therapy and more. SwedishAmerican is the only health system in the region to offer holistic services to its patients. To learn more about SwedishAmerican’s holistic health services, visit www.swedishamerican.org.
“We are extremely excited to host the 23rd annual Cruise gala this year,” says SwedishAmerican Foundation Director Laura Wilkinson. “This year we are ‘cruising’ the Gulf of Mexico, so there will be lots of great food and entertainment. Most importantly, the money we are raising will tremendously benefit our patients through our holistic health services.”
Tickets for Cruise are $125 per person, with reserved tables of 10 for $2,000. Sponsorships also are available. Please RSVP by February 24. For more information, please contact the SwedishAmerican Foundation at (779) 696-2496.
