SwedishAmerican Donates More Than 4,000 Diapers to The Pregnancy Care Center

SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health is pleased to announce, with the help of its employees and the community, the organization collected more than 4,000 diapers during its first annual Diaper Drive held September 22 – October 20. In addition, a small amount of monetary donations was also received. All donations will directly benefit The Pregnancy Care Center in Rockford, a non-profit organization that offers compassionate help and hope to those facing an unplanned pregnancy.

One out of three families struggle to purchase diapers and an average infant uses up to 12 diapers per day, a toddler up to eight per day. The drive was spearheaded by SwedishAmerican’s Women’s and Children’s Professional Development Unit Council with the goal of helping little behinds get a little ahead.

“We are extremely grateful to our employees and the community for stepping up and donating diapers during our first annual Diaper Drive,” says SwedishAmerican Registered Nurse Angie Anderson. “These diapers will give parents in-need a peace of mind and help keep so many little babies in our area healthy and clean.”
