SWEDISHAMERICAN TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF ITS NEW CREEKSIDE MEDICAL CENTER WITH A COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE

ROCKFORD, Illinois – SwedishAmerican will celebrate the opening of its brand new Creekside Medical Center with a community open house on Saturday, September 14. The fall festival-themed open house will run from 9 a.m. to noon at 3505 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.

Located adjacent to SwedishAmerican’s Regional Cancer Center, Creekside is a four-story facility that houses 30 providers and 99 clinic rooms. In addition to specializing in OB/GYN, pediatrics, family practice, dermatology and internal medicine, Creekside serves as a convenient location for UW Health pediatric specialists who travel from Madison for appointments in Rockford with SwedishAmerican patients. The $24 million facility opened its doors to its first patients on Aug. 26.

Saturday’s open house will include the Rockford Fire Department, live radio remotes from WZOK and B103, face painting and animal balloons, our Caring Canines and SAM the mascot, games, giveaways tours of the facility, and treats from Edward’s Apple Orchard. There will also be a mini pumpkin giveaway for kids who visit all four floors.

“We are extremely proud to be able to share this beautiful new facility with the community,” said Beth Sweeney, Director of Specialty Care Operations for the SwedishAmerican Medical Group. “Creekside is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide an improved experience for patients.”

All providers and patients from Woodside Clinic (3775 N. Mulford Road) and Rock Valley Clinic (6861 Villagreen View) moved to Creekside, with an additional seven providers from other clinics in the health system also transferring to the new facility.

Creekside Medical Center is one of three new clinics SwedishAmerican is opening in 2019. Riverwest Clinic at 815 Marchesano Drive opened in January, while Edgewater Medical Center at 2909 N. Main Street is scheduled to open in December.
