SwedishAmerican Cancer Center Volunteers Honored For Their Service

SwedishAmerican is pleased to announce that two of its volunteers, Rae Biesiadecki and Carolyn Truninger, were honored at a recent Association of Fundraising Professionals luncheon for their efforts in supporting cancer services at SwedishAmerican.

Rae and Carolyn work tirelessly each year at SwedishAmerican’s annual Puttin’ on the Glitz fashion show and luncheon, an event that raises money for SwedishAmerican’s oncology patients and their families. Rae and Carolyn work non-stop, year-round, gathering donations and putting together unique baskets and items for the Glitz silent auction.

“Both Rae and Carolyn are women on a mission working hard to find a cure for cancer, one basket at a time,” says SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center Director Diane Scoville. “We are very thankful for Rae and Carolyn, along with all of our volunteers, for donating their time and giving back to SwedishAmerican and its patients.”

SwedishAmerican is holding its own reception for Rae and Carolyn on Tuesday, May 17 at 11 AM at the Regional Cancer Center. For more information on the Association of Fundraising Professionals, visit www.afprockford.org.
