SwedishAmerican Byron Clinic Receives Outstanding Business Achievement Award from Byron Chamber of Commerce
SwedishAmerican Byron Clinic received the Outstanding Business Achievement Award from the Byron Chamber of Commerce during its annual dinner and awards celebration on Thursday, April 27 at the Byron Forest Preserve Jarrett Prairie Center.
SwedishAmerican strives to live through its mission in caring for the community. The Byron Clinic sponsors various events throughout the year including Byron Fest; Byron Chamber Golf Outing, Chili Fest, and Annual Dinner; Byron Rotary Club Beer Fest; American Cancer Society Relay for Life Ogle County; City of Byron 4th of July Fireworks; Byron Civic Theater; Byron Booster Club Golf Outing; and the Byron Firefighter’s Association Golf Play Day.
Employees also giveback and volunteer their time at numerous events including Miracle on 2nd Street and Byron Fest. They also attend Chamber ribbon cuttings, luncheons and afterhours events. In 2016, SwedishAmerican opened a brand-new, 10,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in Byron that has allowed for expanded services and added physician practices.
Additionally, the clinic and its providers recently partnered with the first-ever Byron Park District Walk with a Doc program, where community members can walk with other residents and doctors from the Byron Clinic. SwedishAmerican’s EMS program also kicked-off a mobile integrated healthcare program with Byron Fire, also known as a community paramedic program, where they help take care of patients in their own home to asses for any safety and medical needs.
