SwedishAmerican 2nd Annual Diaper Drive Collects More Than 3,200 Diapers for The Pregnancy Care Center
SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health is pleased to announce, with the help of its employees and the community, the organization collected more than 3,200 diapers during its second annual Diaper Drive which kicked off during Founder’s Week and lasted throughout the month of June. All donations will directly benefit The Pregnancy Care Center in Rockford, a non-profit organization that offers compassionate help and hope to those facing an unplanned pregnancy.
One out of three families struggle to purchase diapers and an average infant uses up to 12 diapers per day, a toddler up to eight per day. The drive was spearheaded by SwedishAmerican’s Women’s and Children’s Professional Development Unit Council with the goal of helping little behinds get a little ahead.
“We had a very successful diaper drive thanks to SwedishAmerican Associates and community members,” said SwedishAmerican Registered Nurse Angie Anderson. “These diapers will help those who are in need in the community and ultimately help keep their babies healthy and clean.”
