Green Bay Packer and Rockford Native Dean Lowry Visits Patients at SwedishAmerican

Green Bay Packers Defensive End Dean Lowry will make a stop at SwedishAmerican in Rockford, 1401 E. State Street, on Wednesday, February 8th to share his positive, winning attitude as he visits with patients in the pediatrics, oncology, surgery and orthopedic departments. The media is invited to tour the hospital floors with Dean beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a short question and answer session.

The 22-year-old Lowry is a Rockford native, having attended and played football at Boylan Catholic High School before receiving a football scholarship to Northwestern University. The rookie player successfully completed his first season as a Green Bay Packer with two sacks and eight tackles. His coaches and those who know him say he supports his success on the field with an excellent work ethic, needed in football and in life.

“We are grateful to Dean for taking time to share some highlights of his exciting first year in the NFL with those in our hospital who could use a bit of encouragement right now,” said SwedishAmerican President and CEO Dr. Bill Gorski. “Our community is proud of Dean and what he’s accomplished, and we wish him success in the NFL for many more years to come.”
