31st Annual Ryan Jury Memorial Golf Outing to be Held on June 15

The 31st annual Ryan Jury Memorial Golf Outing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15. Golfing will be at Aldeen Golf Club, and the dinner will be held at Giovanni’s Restaurant and Convention Center.

Family, friends, SwedishAmerican employees and the general public are invited to participate in the outing, which was formed by the Jury Family in memory of their son, Ryan, who died of cancer at the age of 23 months in 1986. All funds raised will benefit the SwedishAmerican Foundation for the Ryan Jury Child Development Learning Center. Over the past 30 years, the event has raised more than $1 million for pediatric projects.

Cost of the outing is $125, which includes golf, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner only is $50. The golf format is a four-person scramble. Golfing will begin with 7:00 AM and 12:30 PM shotgun starts. The evening dinner, which begins at 6:00 PM, includes a sit-down dinner, entertainment and a silent auction. SwedishAmerican’s Pastoral Care Director Norm Shirk will be the emcee. At the end of the evening, the Jury family will present SwedishAmerican President and CEO Dr. Bill Gorski and Ryan Jury Child Development Center Director Carol Mittel with a check.

In addition to the golf outing, there will a prize raffle to benefit the Ryan Jury Child Development Learning Center. Tickets for the raffle are available at the SwedishAmerican Foundation office, Camelot Tower, Suite 100. Tickets may be purchased for only $1 each. The winners will receive one of four great prizes, including jewelry, $100 VISA card, flat screen television and a Bose speaker.

Bidding on silent auction items also gets easier this year. Beginning Wednesday, June 1, anyone can visit www.galabid.com/jurygolf2016 to create an account and begin bidding on a wide array of silent auction items. The silent auction will end the evening of Wednesday, June 15. Winners need not be present to win.
