OUTPATIENT THERAPY
 SwedishAmerican Outpatient Therapy improves the quality of life of individuals in northern Illinois through the maximization of function, alleviation of pain and enhancement of life at home and work. From our modern, spacious facilities at the SwedishAmerican Ninth Street Center and the new YMCA Northeast Branch, we offer a full range of services, including:
- Aquatic Therapy – An exercise program that is performed in the water, using the different physical properties of water to assist in healing and exercise performance.
- Pediatric Therapy Services – A multidisciplinary approach to therapy, in which we work with children and their families to better understand a child's difficulties and maximize their potential through individualized program development.
- Pelvic Pain/Incontinence – Evaluation and treatment of patients with pelvic and abdominal disorders, including bladder/bowel incontinence, pelvic and abdominal pain, and pregnancy-related back pain.
- Golf Physical Therapy & Fit-to-Tee Golf Performance Program – Programs are offered for golfers who want to return to playing after an injury, or simply maximize their game potential by improving strength, balance and flexibility.
- Lymphedema Therapy – Our two-phase program minimizes fluid accumulation caused by a compromised lymphatic system.
- Functional Capacity Evaluation – Valid and objective measurements of functional (generally work-related) abilities.
- Work Reconditioning – Individualized rehab program designed to prepare an injured worker for returning to work.
- Work Site Evaluation – Ergonomic assessments of individuals who work in office settings.
