Dealing with behavioral problems and mental illness can be difficult, help is available. The Swedish American Center for Mental Health offers treatment for individuals starting at age twelve. Our staff of experienced, psychiatrists, professional therapists and specifically trained nurses and ancillary staff implement an effective treatment plan for each individual.
According to an article published by the American Psychiatric Association, it forewarned that just as with other medical illness, early intervention is important and essential for positive outcomes. The U.S. Surgeon General's office reports that a large number of Americans suffer from mental disorders and fail to seek treatment. Mental illness does not resolve on it's own. Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is a psychiatric outpatient treatment program for adults and adolescents in emotional distress.
Our Inpatient Programs include psychiatric units for adolescents, as well as for adults.
Mental health professionals are available to provide educational programming for groups in the community, including topics such as depression, anxiety, suicide prevention, stress management, grief, and more.
