IV Infusion Therapy Services
SwedishAmerican Infusion Service provides infusion therapies necessary for nutrition support and treating illnesses. A high-tech team of infusion pharmacists and nurses makes these therapies available in the home setting, thereby shortening or avoiding inpatient hospitalization or outpatient ambulatory appointments.
Therapies available in the home include intravenous antibiotics, intravenous feedings and tube feedings, chemotherapy, pain management, hydration, and steroids.
SwedishAmerican pharmacists and nurses work with the patient's physician to establish an appropriate plan of care, train patients and caregivers in all aspects of infusion care and provide direct intermittent care until patients, caregivers and all healthcare providers are confident with the treatment plan. Patient progress is monitored and regular reports are provided to the patient's physician.
