DIABETES & NUTRITION
If you or someone you care about has diabetes, SwedishAmerican offers a number of helpful resources, including the Diabetes Self-Management Center and the Nutrition Center.
Diabetes Self-Management Center
Certified diabetes educators and registered licensed dietitians offer individual and group counseling in collaboration with their physician.
Individuals can learn about their diabetes and what they can do to take control and live a healthier happier life with diabetes. A physician referral is required. This service is located in SwedishAmerican Hospital.
Nutrition Center
Good health starts with good nutrition. The SwedishAmerican Hospital Nutrition Center provides personalized nutrition education and counseling. We teach people the skills they need to manage their own nutrition care. Nutrition counseling can help to lower your chances of health problems. Adapting healthy lifestyle changes and improving your nutrition helps to reduce the risk factors that lead to illness. Nutrition counseling is provided by registered licensed dietitians. A physician referral is required.
