At the Center For Women, primary care and midlife services are provided by advanced practice nurses (APNs) Jane Kiley and Lisa Larson. APNs are registered nurses who have successfully completed an accredited master's degree program in nursing, or have obtained certification by a national nursing accreditation organization, and are licensed by the State of Illinois. APNs practice in collaboration with a physician and specialize in a number of areas, including women's health.
APNs have advanced training in performing physical exams; assessing, diagnosing and treating illnesses; prescribing medications; and recommending other forms of treatment. They also order, interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests; formulate treatment plans; and make referrals to other members of the healthcare team as indicated.
In addition, the Center For Women works in collaboration with the most experienced doctors from Rockford's finest medical groups, including SwedishAmerican Medical Group. Our team also includes skilled and dedicated technicians and support staff who stay current with the latest treatments and technologies.
