Mary McCarthy
Director of Quality Management

Mary McCarthy is SwedishAmerican Health System's director of quality management. Prior to her current position, Mary served as assistant manager in Health Information Management Services (HIMS) and as manager of UR/DRG/Quality.

A Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Mary is responsible for the Quality Resource Department (Case Management/Social Work/Discharge Planning/Medical Staff Quality and Safety) and the Safety Department.

Mary serves as a member of the Illinois Hospital Association's Quality Advisory Board and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). She is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master's degree in health services administration.
