Located on the second floor of the Heart Hospital, SwedishAmerican's 30-bed coronary care unit provides highly technical state-of-the-art care to patients who have just has open-heart or other surgeries, as well as those who have sustained traumatic injuries.
Large private rooms provide ample room for the patient, equipment and supplies, a work area for the nurse, and a sitting area with Internet access for family members. Soft colors and natural lighting help to create a quiet and relaxing environment. Patients in each of our rooms are easily viewed from a central nurses' station that is only 8 feet away. This improves visual monitoring by the staff, as well as quicker response times.
Patient rooms are designed to allow staff and family easy access to the patient while safely accommodating all of the equipment needed for critical care. Additionally, each room has special amenities like built-in seating and Internet access for visiting family members.
