SwedishAmerican offers a three-phase, physician-prescribed cardiac rehabilitation program. Through exercise and education, our program is designed to improve the health and quality of life of patients with heart and vascular disease, including angina (chest pain), angioplasty, atherectomy, stent placement, heart attack, heart transplantation, open-heart surgery, peripheral arterial disease, high-risk individuals with multiple risk factors, arrhythmia patients, post-pacemaker patients and post-implantable defibrillator patients.
Cardiac rehab improves the recovery process and reduces the risk of new cardiac events by increasing participants' cardiovascular fitness through a progressive exercise program and by providing information and guidance on intense risk factor modification.
