Senior Executive Physician Leadership
Bill Gorski, M.D.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Bill Gorski, M.D., is president and chief executive officer of SwedishAmerican Health System. Prior to becoming the organization's chief executive, Dr. Gorski served as SwedishAmerican's chief medical officer and as president of the SwedishAmerican Primary Care Group. He also maintained a clinical practice at SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Five Points.
Dr. Gorski received his bachelor's degree from Kenyon College in Ohio. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, and completed his family practice residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He is board certified in family practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Gorski also serves on the board of directors for SwedishAmerican Health System.
Thomas M. Schiller, M.D.
President, SwedishAmerican Primary Care Group
Dr. Thomas Schiller is president of SwedishAmerican Primary Care Group. He has served in a number of administrative positions at SwedishAmerican Hospital including president of the medical staff, first vice president and chair of the credentials committee, and second vice president and chair of the utilization review/medical records committee. As a board-certified family physician, he also maintains a clinical practice at SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Valley.
A native of Rockford, Illinois, Dr. Schiller earned his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University and received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his family practice training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he served as chief resident.
Kathleen M. Kelly, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Kathleen Kelly serves as SwedishAmerican's chief medical officer. Prior to her current role, Dr. Kelly served as the health system's director of clinical integration and improvement, and as medical director for Benchmark Health Insurance Company. In addition, she also maintained an internal medicine practice at SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Woodside.
Dr. Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. She received her medical degree from the Albany Medical College in New York, completed residency training at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and is board certified in internal medicine.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Kelly has held administrative positions with several organizations including Kaiser Permanente (lead internist), John Deere Health Care (medical director), and Northern Illinois Hospice Association (volunteer medical director.)
