SwedishAmerican Welcomes General Surgeon Abraham Sayon, MD

SwedishAmerican is pleased to introduce general surgeon, Abraham Sayon, MD. The first surgeon in a new partnership between UW Health Surgery and SwedishAmerican, Dr. Sayon graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his general surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, serving as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Sayon continued training with a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Sayon is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and advanced endoscopic procedures of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Sayon holds many academic honors including the Bill Gates Millennium Scholar award and the David Jones Peck Award of Rush Medical College.
