SwedishAmerican Hospital Hosts Educational Get Covered Illinois Event about the Affordable Care Act as a Part of “Cover Your Community” Day

SwedishAmerican Hospital is scheduled to host a Health Fair to educate Rockford community members about the new health insurance options available through Get Covered Illinois – The Official Health Marketplace, as a part of a statewide “Cover Your Community” day of action.
“Cover Your Community” is the largest ever statewide effort to educate Illinois residents about Get Covered Illinois. Today, more than 200 grantee organizations will host local events to tell Illinoisans about their health insurance options.
As a partner organization, SwedishAmerican Hospital is dedicated to spreading the word about Get Covered Illinois and the range of health insurance options and community resources that are available to residents in Rockford.
SwedishAmerican Hospital Navigator will make sure community members know about the affordable health insurance options that are available to them. Navigators will help them get the information and assistance they need to sign up for the plan that is best for them,
Specially trained counselors, called Navigators, will be on-site to assist and answer questions. Following the event, residents can connect with a Navigator at SwedishAmerican Hospital, by calling 1-800.560-9106.
Under the Affordable Care Act, thousands of Illinoisans who were previously unable to get insurance can now get covered. The location and time for events scheduled for Nov 2nd is listed below:
