SwedishAmerican to Host Puttin’ On the Glitz, November 8

Local television news anchors, hospital professionals and individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer will model holiday fashions from That Boutique and Sturtevant’s during SwedishAmerican Health System’s annual Puttin’ On The Glitz fashion show/luncheon on Friday, November 8, at Giovanni’s.
A social hour with music by Carl Cole will precede the luncheon, beginning at 11:30 A.M. The event is a fundraiser for SwedishAmerican’s new Regional Cancer Center on N. Bell School Road.
This year’s models are Derek Bergsten, Rockford Fire Chief; Georgette Braun, Rockford Register Star; Anna Derocher, Rockford Register Star; Rebecca Epperson, President of PR Etc; Mike Garrigan, WIFR-TV; Kevin Haas, Rockford Register Star; Paul Logli, United Way of Rock River Valley; Whitney Martin, WIFR-TV; Dani Maxwell, WKOW/Madison; Mimi Murphy, WTVO-TV/Fox 39; Christie Nicks, WTVO-TV/Fox 39; Katie Nilsson, WREX-TV; Sachelle Saunders, WTVO-TV/Fox 39; Steve Stadelman, State Senator; Nick Toma, WTVO-TV/Fox 39; and Eric Wilson, WREX-TV.
Other models include Jedediah Cantrell, vice president of Operations at SwedishAmerican; Dr. Bill Gorski, president and CEO of SwedishAmerican; Erich Hagenlocher; Kristin Hagenlocher; Greg Jury; Kelly Jury; Kim Robare; and Julia Zimmerman, vice president of SAMG and Regional Development at SwedishAmerican. Andy Gannon and Aaron Wilson, WIFR, will MC.
During the luncheon, the annual Betty Henry Award will be presented to an individual or organization that has made an extraordinary contribution of time, talent and effort to the Regional Cancer Center at SwedishAmerican. The award is given in honor of Betty Henry, a long-time Rockford-area community volunteer, who died of cancer in 1995.
