SwedishAmerican to Host Free Heart Health Program in Beloit

Although many think of heart disease as an issue for men, in reality, half of all women die of heart-related illnesses. With this is mind the Heart Hospital at SwedishAmerican will host a heart health program for men and women on Tuesday, October 29, at 5:00 p.m. at The Beloit Rotary River Center, 1220 Riverside Drive, in Beloit, Wisconsin.
At 5:15, Stuart Kopps, SwedishAmerican Cardiac Rehab, will present a heart healthy cooking demonstration. At 5:45 Dr. Gayle Crays, SwedishAmerican Medical Group/Roscoe will introduce Dr. Mohammad Kizilbash, Cardiologist, Midwest Heart Specialists who will discuss the signs and symptoms of heart disease, risk factors, the disease process, treatment options and diabetes.
A question and answer period and a survivor’s story will follow.
Be sure to arrive at 5:00 p.m. to browse our informative heart care exhibits. A light meal and beverages will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
