Girls' Night Out: This one's for the Girls!

Ready for a girls’ night out? How about some refreshments, beauty treatment, a massage and a mammogram?
The Center For Women is pleased to offer “Girls Night Out” — a fun-filled evening dedicated to you and your girlfriends! *Reserve a block of appointments for your group’s annual mammogram, one of the most important screenings available for women. Besides the mammogram, women will all enjoy a FREE chair massage, a beauty treatment, refreshments and trunk shows that evening. Other than the cost of the mammogram, Girl’s Night Out is completely FREE!
Appointment times are between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM at the Center For Women, 2nd floor of the Renaissance Pavilion. Choose a date that works best for your group, and reserve your space by calling (815) 391-7676. Please have the names and phone numbers of your girlfriends available.You are encouraged to arrive a half an hour before your appointment to begin your girls'night out!
“Anything that encourages women to get screening tests is a good idea, which is why we’re offering this new program to our community,” says Paula Culvey, manager of pediatrics and women’s outpatient services. “We believe that women will like coming to an event like this because it takes their mind off of the mammogram. Also, being surrounded by your friends adds to the safety net. It’s more relaxing than sitting in a waiting room wearing a gown.”
*A mammogram appointment for each member of your group is required for participation. No physician’s order is required. Most insurance companies & Medicare cover the cost of an annual screening mammogram.
Beginning at age 40, the American Cancer Society recommends you get a mammogram and medical breast exam every year. Mammography is a woman’s best weapon against breast cancer!
