Rock River Valley Mended Hearts - Chapter 317 - Patients Helping Patients Support Group

Ongoing, third Monday, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

SwedishAmerican Hospital 1st floor Conference Center, Rooms 5 & 6. Ongoing, Third Monday of each month.

2013 Program Topics: January February 18: New Frontier & Expanding Options for Patients with Coronary Artery Disease, by Dr. Elsayed Mohamed, Midwest Heart Specialists at SwedishAmerican; March 18: Heart Healthy Nutrition Updates, by Stuart Kopps, Manager of Clinical Rehabilitation.

Mended Heart team members are available to meet with patients before surgery to answer questions and alleviate fears during hospitalization; for encouragement in the early days of recovery; and after surgery, to help with the life adjustments that face all surgical heart patients.
