SwedishAmerican invites you to a FREE Breast Cancer Awareness Program on Monday, October 6 at Giovanni’s, 610 N. Bell School Road in Rockford. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to register and browse our healthcare exhibits.
At 6:30 p.m., SwedishAmerican Health System President and CEO Dr. Bill Gorski will give an update on the Regional Cancer Center. Our guest speaker, Dr. Lee Gravatt Wilke, Professor of Surgery and Director, UW Breast Health Center, will then present “Teams, Tailors and Teens: The Next Generation of Breast Cancer Research and Care.” Dr. Wilke’s breast cancer research was featured on ABC World News Tonight and she received the Triangle Business Journal Health Care Hero’s Award for Physician Excellence.
Additionally, Beth Palmer, breast cancer survivor and art educator/artist, will discuss her personal story about fighting breast cancer and our expert panel will discuss the latest innovations in breast healthcare and answer your questions.
