MEDICAL FOUNDATION
At SwedishAmerican, we're committed to our community. Through the charitable efforts of the SwedishAmerican Medical Foundation, we're able to ensure the delivery of superior healthcare to Rockford area residents.
Established in 1981, the SwedishAmerican Medical Foundation raises, invests and distributes funds for the benefit of SwedishAmerican Health System and its mission to take care of the Rockford community. This includes SwedishAmerican Hospital, its clinics and the neighborhood surrounding the hospital. We also support local community healthcare organizations that further the mission of SwedishAmerican. An appointed board of directors oversees the assets and activities of this independent, nonprofit, tax-exempt Illinois corporation.
The foundation engages those who care about SwedishAmerican and this community, provides opportunities to enhance the provision of healthcare and guarantees ethical stewardship of the gifts received.
There are many different ways to give to the SwedishAmerican Medical Foundation, and every dollar contributed is used to impact our community's health and well-being. No gift dollars are used for administrative or operational purposes.
